Hsiao Memorial Social Sciences Scholarship – $1,000

California Scholarship Federation – Up to $5,000
The California Scholarship Federation (CSF), a nonprofit organization aimed at encouraging academic achievement and community service among middle and high school students in California, awards scholarships to high school seniors from the state. Each year, CSF awards $2,000 each to 50 finalists, with five finalists (one per region) receiving an additional $3,000 as a regional award recipient. CSF Scholars must be members of a CSF school chapter – there are about 1,500 chapters in middle and high schools across the state. To join as a member, students must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and have taken one curriculum class. Students earn their membership in CSF if they apply and have earned 10 (ten) CSF points based on their grades from the previous semester, with an A valued at 3 points, B at 1 point, and C at 0 point. An A or a B in an AP, IB, or Honors-designated course yields 1 extra point, but students may not earn more than two such points per semester. Students with a D or F in any course, even if those courses are not counted for CSF, are disqualified from membership. Students must apply for a CSF scholarship at the end of the second semester of their high school senior year.

Each year, the Ebell of Los Angeles Scholarship Program provides financial support to select undergraduate students in Los Angeles County. Each year, the ExxonMobil Engineering Scholarship Program, which is administered by the League of United Latin American Citizens, awards scholarships to Hispanic high school seniors from select cities who plan to pursue careers in engineering. Each year, the Professional Businesswomen of California group gives a minimum of three scholarships to female high school seniors to help them pay for college and ultimately achieve their career goals. Applicants must be female high school seniors in California who are on track to attend an accredited college or university.
Sacramento Press Club Journalism Scholarships – Up to $8,000
Each year, the Sacramento Press Club offers scholarships to aspiring journalists. Applicants must be rising juniors, seniors, or graduate students and “have a connection to the nine-county Sacramento region.” There are three ways to have a connection to the region, including by being from the region, going to college in the region, or by showing an interest in covering news in the region.
Georgia McHugh Scholarship – $5,000

Each year, Tang Scholarships help LGBT Asian and Pacific Islanders from the Bay Area afford post-secondary education. 10,000 Degrees Scholarships – $1,500
Offered by 10,000 Degrees, a college success nonprofit in California, the 10,000 Degrees Scholarships support students with significant financial need, particularly students from the Bay Area regions: Marin, Sonoma, San Francisco, Contra Costa, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Napa, and Lake counties. Each year, the nonprofit awards scholarships worth up to $1,500 per student per academic year. Applicants need to submit just one application to be considered for all available scholarships that they are eligible for. Additionally, scholarship recipients have access to mentorship, as well as the nonprofit’s Career and Alumni Success services, and will be invited to stay connected through the 10,000 Degrees Alumni LinkedIn group and Young Professionals and Alumni Council networking group. Applicants must reside in California; demonstrate financial need; be pursuing their first associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, teaching credential, or certification for a technical program; and be enrolled in at least 12 units per semester or term during the current academic year. The Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA) offers scholarships to qualified undergraduates studying a water resources-related field at a college in the University of California or California State University systems. Eligible fields include engineering, agricultural and/or urban water supply, environmental studies, and public administration. The American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) offers various scholarships to students who are studying in a STEM field and identify as American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islanders, and Indigenous peoples of Canada. The AISES Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Foundation Scholarship is open to American Indian high school seniors who reside in one of the 23 states serviced by the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Pacific Corporation and its affiliated companies. Applicants must have a high school GPA of 3.0 or higher. Offered by the Asian Pacific Community Fund, the Matt Fong Asian Americans in Public Finance Scholarship is an annual award offered to California college students interested in a career serving the public sector.. Each applicant must be a current undergraduate student at a four-year college or university in California and be majoring in accounting, business administration, social science, or a related field. Additionally, applicants must have Asian ethnic heritage, meet a minimum 3.0 GPA requirement, and demonstrate financial need. Preference is given to students with an interest in public sector work or those with community service and community advocacy.
Benson Louie Scholarship – $1,500
The Benson Louie Scholarship is an annual award offered to two high school volleyball players from San Francisco. Applicants must be high school seniors graduating from a San Francisco high school, be enrolled in a two- or four-year accredited college or university for fall of 2023, and have played high school volleyball for at least two years.
CalCPA Fresno Chapter Scholarship – $1,000-$2,500
The California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA) offers scholarships for members of its several chapters throughout California. Middle Class Scholarship – Varies
The Middle Class Scholarship (MCS) is for undergraduate students, including students pursuing a teaching credential, whose family income and assets do not exceed $201,000 and who attend a campus in the University of California (UC) or California State University (CSU) system. Global financial institution Goldman Sachs offers a fellowship for students pursuing an MBA. In order to qualify, applicants must be Black, Hispanic/Latino, Native American, or women. The fellowship is not a traditional scholarship program. Winning applicants are offered a paid Summer Associate position at Goldman Sachs, as well as an additional $35,000 award. Upon successful completion of the summer internship and acceptance of a full-time offer post-graduation, Fellowship recipients are awarded an additional $40,000. The funds do not have to be used toward academics, but for students who need extra funds to pay for their degree, these awards can go a long way and can lead to a full-time position at a leading financial institution upon completion of their MBA. Jacoby & Meyers Latinx Community Scholarship – $5,000
Administered by The University Network (TUN.com), the Jacoby & Meyers Latinx Community Scholarship is a $5,000 award. Applicants must be of Latinx descent, reside in California, be high school seniors or first- and second-year college/trade school students, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, and be actively involved in community service activities within the Latinx community. To apply, those interested must write an essay of 350-500 words on how their Hispanic background influenced their goals for higher education and submit an unofficial copy of their transcript.
Better Together STEM Scholarship Program – $2,500, $10,000
Each year, the PG&E Corporation Foundation offers the Better Together STEM Scholarships of $2,500 or $10,000 to students pursuing STEM-related studies at universities in California and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) in the United States. Students must be California residents and PG&E customers at the time of application. The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation Scholars Program rewards high school seniors in Ventura, California, who exemplify traits of leadership.
