Amount: $1,000. About: Offered by the Asian Pacific Fund, the Hsiao Memorial Social Sciences Scholarship is an annual award offered to students pursuing graduate degrees in the social sciences. Applicants must be graduate students studying economics or other social sciences at a U.S. college or university. Additionally, applicants must be U.S. citizens, residents, or foreign nationals and meet a minimum 3.0 GPA requirement. Preference is given to students of Asian heritage who study topics that benefit communities with social/economic need, particularly Asian and Asian American communities.
