About: The Peola Smith-Smith Educational Leadership Scholarship is an annual award by the NANBPWC, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and protecting the interests of Black women in business. Applicants must be a member of the organization, be a graduating high school senior or a college undergraduate student, major in Education at an accredited college or university, demonstrate leadership qualities, have a B average or above, be a U.S. citizen, and submit a typed essay of no less than 300 words on the topic: “Why Education is Important to Me.”
