Announcing the CROSSTOWN HIGH XQ Learner Scholarship Pilot Program

The XQ Learner Scholarship will be awarded to up to FIVE graduates of the Class of 2023 from CROSSTOWN HIGH (XTH) who exemplify any of the XQ Learner Outcomes (XQLOs). With this pilot, XQ Institute aims to celebrate these XTH XQ Learners and to help them achieve their dreams of success beyond high school through this one-time award of $3,000.

Here is your opportunity to nominate a worthy student who you feel best exemplifies any of XQ Learner Outcomes (XQLO) below.

Who is Eligible?

For this pilot program, all Class of 2023 students enrolled full-time at Crosstown High who plan to attend a post-secondary college or certification program. 

These include:

  • Colleges or universities
  • Career or trade schools
  • Certified apprenticeship programs

·       Verified public service programs

(e.g.: Peace Corp, City Year, etc.)

How to Apply:

No formal student application is needed! A committee of educators and staff at your XQ school will select scholarship recipients. Talk with your teacher or counselor today to share your interest and learn more!

Step 1

Nominate a graduating senior who you feel best exemplifies at least ONE of the following XQ Learner Outcomes by completing the form below

1. Masters of Fundamental Literacies

Students have built the academic core necessary to prepare for college, career, and life. They are compelling writers, critical readers, and mathematical thinkers and visual problem-solvers.

2. Holders of Foundational Knowledge

Students display a consistent curiosity about the world, and have worked to gain knowledge in history and the important role that culture has played in the shaping of society. 

3. Original Thinkers for an Uncertain World

The student has developed an ability to make sense of a world full of conflicting knowledge. They generate multiple ideas in new or ambiguous situations. The student has the ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems.

4. Generous Collaborators

Student is a self-aware team member that brings positive attributes to the groups they work in and can pull out the best in their peers. 

They are inquisitive world citizens who seek out diverse opinions and viewpoints.

5. Learners for Life

Students have a personal drive to learn more about themselves and the world, and have worked to create their own learning path.

Once nominees are submitted, a predetermined committee of teachers, counselors and other staff at your school will select up to FIVE recipients who have exemplified the XQ Learner Outcomes for the award. The selected students will then join a cohort of XQLS recipients from across each XQ School.
