FIRST, a global robotics organization that works to advance STEM education and interest in robotics, offers the Dr. Bart Kamen Memorial FIRST Scholarship for students pursuing degrees in biomedical engineering and pre-med. Grants are worth $10,000 and are renewable for up to three years, for a total of four years. Applicants need to be a high school senior or graduate enrolling in an undergraduate program as a full-time student at a U.S. college or university. Applicants need to be applying for or accepted to a program in biomedical engineering or pre-med studies. Applicants must have participated for a minimum of one year as a team member on a FIRST LEGO league, FIRST Tech Challenge or FIRST Robotics competition team.

Residency Requirement: No residency requirement

Minimum GPA: No GPA requirement
