Airgas, a U.S. company that supplies industrial, medical, and specialty gases and related products, offers the Airgas-Jerry Baker Scholarship for students interested in pursuing a career in welding engineering. Applicants need to be enrolled in a welding engineering program with a minimum 3.0 engineering GPA (2.8 GPA overall). Financial need and essay are required.
Scholarship Amount: $2,500
Eligible Grade Levels: College Freshman, College Sophomore, College Junior, College Senior
Eligible Majors: Welding Engineering, Welding Engineering Technology
Residency Requirement: There is no state residency requirement for this scholarship, but priority will be given to applicants residing or attending school in the states of Alabama, Georgia or Florida.
Minimum GPA: 3.0 GPA in engineering courses, 2.8 overall
Deadline: March 1, 2022
