ADHA Foundation Scholarships

Amount: Up to $2,000. About: The ADHA Foundation offers several scholarships for students studying toward careers in dental hygiene. Scholarships vary by eligibility restrictions, degree level, and award amount. Several awards are available for associate’s degree, undergraduate, and graduate students. To qualify for the Associate Degree Level Scholarships, applicants must be a member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA), be enrolled in an accredited dental hygiene program in the United States, have completed at least one semester of a pre-Dental Hygiene or Dental Hygiene based curriculum, and have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale). For the Bachelor’s Level Scholarships, applicants must be a member of the ADHA, be enrolled in an accredited dental hygiene program in the United States, and have completed at least one semester of a pre-Dental Hygiene or Dental Hygiene based curriculum. To apply for the Graduate Level Scholarships, applicants must be a professional or student member of the ADHA, be enrolled in a masters or doctoral degree program (full or part-time) in Dental Hygiene or accredited degree studies related to the professional roles of the dental hygienist, have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale), and hold an active dental hygiene license and the minimum of a baccalaureate degree. Students in their final year of their program are ineligible for funds, due to disbursement schedule.
