Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Scholarship

Amount: Up to $6,000. About: Offered by the California Teachers Association (CTA), the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Scholarship helps minority students become educators, school nurses, school counselors, or school therapists. Each applicant must be pursuing a degree, credential, or certification for a teaching-related career in public education at an accredited higher education institution, be enrolled for summer or fall semester of 2022, and be African American/Black, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian/Pacific Islander, or Hispanic. Additionally, each applicant must be an active member of the CTA or the Student CTA or be the dependent child of an active, retired, or deceased CTA member. Members must live in California.
Eligible Grade Levels: College Freshman, College Sophomore, College Junior, College Senior, Graduate Student
Eligible Majors: Education
Residency Requirement: California
Minimum GPA: No GPA requirement
