About: Offered by American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences, the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences Undergraduate is a $1,000 $5,000 award to encourage undergraduate study in family and consumer sciences and its subspecialties. Applicants must be a current AAFCS member, if eligible, at the time of application; must be s planning to pursue or is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in family and consumer sciences or related specialized program; must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States; must be a undergraduate study, has been admitted to a undergraduate program or will be enrolled for the upcoming academic year; members of the AAFCS Board of Directors and Awards and Recognition Committee are not eligible to apply during their terms of office. AAFCS staff are not eligible to apply during their periods of employment with the Association.
