Offered by Society of Women Engineers, the Mary Gunther Memorial Freshman Scholarship is a $7,000 award to support women pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees in engineering, engineering technology, and fields related to engineering. Applicants must identify as a woman; be studying engineering or computer science full time at the collegiate level in the upcoming academic year or are a re-entry student; incoming collegiate freshman through graduate student; studying full-time (exceptions made for reentry/nontraditional students); students who are current SWE collegiate or SWENext members; must be planning to attend a school with ABET-accredited programs; undergraduate and community college applicants must be planning to study an ABET-accredited program in engineering, technology, or computing in the upcoming academic year; masters and PhD candidates must be enrolled or accepted at a school with ABET-accredited programs in engineering, computing, or technology; minimum 3.5/4.0 GPA; must be major in any (ArcE & EnvE preferred).

Residency Requirement: No residency requirement
Minimum GPA: 4
