American Association of Blacks in Energy Scholarship

Amount: Up to $5,000. About: The American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE) offers scholarships for underrepresented minority students (Black or African American, Hispanic, and Native American) studying energy-related fields, including business, a physical science, technology, engineering, or mathematics. Each year, 13 scholarships are awarded: 12 scholarships of $3,000 and one scholarship of $5,000 — the $5,000 award is renewable for up to 4 years if the recipient maintains the required minimum GPA andan eligible major). Applicants must be a high school senior who intends to enroll next semester in an accredited college or university; have an unweighted academic average of B or better (3.0 on 4.0 scale); be pursuing a major in business, one of the physical sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics field; and identify as an underrepresented minority (Black or African American, Hispanic, or Native American).

Residency Requirement: No residency requirement
Minimum GPA: 3.0
