Amount: Up to $30,000 over four semesters. About: Offered by the Hagan Scholarship Foundation, the Hagan International Scholarship is a need-based merit scholarship that offers up to $7,500 each semester for up to four consecutive semesters (or $30,000) to international students attending graduate school in the United States. Additionally, the program will award $2,000 for the purchase of essential items for graduate school and provide a free workshop for awardees to learn essential life skills that are not typically covered in the college curriculum. To qualify, applicants must meet the following requirements: be a first-time graduate student enrolling in the Fall 2026 semester; not hold U.S. citizenship; not be over 24 years of age as of the deadline of April 15, 2026; have been awarded or will be awarded by the upcoming Fall 2026 semester an undergraduate degree from a foreign institution; provide a complete copy of applicant’s Transcript showing the Award Degree with the application or Fall 2026 Semester Submittal; have received an acceptance letter for enrollment for the upcoming Fall 2026 semester from a college or university located in the United States; be fluent in the English language and provide confirmation from the institution applicant will attend; provide a Graduation Plan prepared by the Institution and approved by the Department Chair; contribute toward the cost of applicant’s education by working 240 hours from January 1 to September 1, prior to the start of the fall semester each academic year; and provide a copy of their parents’ financial statement. Awardees must achieve a 3.25 GPA for all semesters and maintain a 3.5 GPA after the first semester.
