Boren Scholarships

Amount: Up to $25,000. About: The Boren Awards fund the intensive study of language and culture in countries around the world, except for Western Europe, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. The Boren Scholarships are intended to fund study abroad by U.S. undergraduate students in world regions critical to U.S. interests. Applicants must be matriculated in an associate’s or bachelor’s degree program located within the United States and accredited by a body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time of application, and must be a U.S. citizen and at least 18 years old at the time of the national application deadline.
