YoungArts National Arts Competition

Amount: Up to $10,000. About: Sponsored by YoungArts, an organization supporting young artists, the YoungArts National Arts Competition is an annual event for students who are 15-18 years old or in grades 10 through 12. Students must apply in one of the 10 approved categories to win up to $10,000 and the opportunity to be named a U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts. Additionally, award winners receive artistic support and opportunities to network with peers and mentors during their lifetime. Applicants must meet the following requirements: be either a citizen of the United States, a permanent resident/green card holder, or demonstrate that they are legally able to receive taxable income in the United States; and be in grades 10–12 or 15–18 years of age on December 1 of the year they are applying.
Eligible Grade Levels: High School Sophomore, High School Junior, High School Senior
Eligible Majors: Classical Music, Dance, Design Arts, Film, Jazz, Photography, Theater, Visual Arts, Voice, Writing
Residency Requirement: No residency requirement
Minimum GPA: No GPA requirement
