Amount: $24,000 per year (renewable for a second year). About: Each year, through the Walter Byers Graduate Scholarship program, the NCAA awards $24,000 scholarships to one male and one female student-athlete for their outstanding academic achievements and potential to excel in graduate studies. Applicants must have competed in varsity intercollegiate athletics at an NCAA institution, be enrolled full-time in graduate study or be a graduating senior with intentions of applying for admission into a graduate degree program, and have at least a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
