NYWICI Scholarship

Amount: $2,500-$10,000. About: Administered by the New York Women in Communications (NYWICI), the NYWICI Scholarships are awarded each year to “empower women in the communications field.” Most of the scholarships are named or sponsored awards supported by nonprofits or corporations, such as Bloomberg, NBC/Universal, and Lowe’s, which set their own eligibility requirements. To qualify, applicants must be a U. S. citizen or legal permanent resident living in NY, NJ, CT, or PA, be a full-time college undergraduate or graduate student, be a member of NYWICI in good standing if they are a graduate student, major in a communications-related field (including advertising, broadcasting, communications, digital media, English, film, journalism, marketing, public relations, or publishing) at a U.S. accredited college or university, meet a minimum 3.2 overall GPA, and be available for an interview. Applicants are also required to submit recommendation letters and be available for mandatory internships.

Residency Requirement: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania
Minimum GPA: 3.2
