Amount: Up to $5,000. About: Offered by MPOWER Financing, which provides private student loans to international and DACA students in the United States and Canada, the MPOWER Udaan Indian Scholarship is a STEM scholarship awarded annually to international graduate students with Indian citizenship admitted to, or enrolled in, a full-time degree program at an MPOWER-eligible U.S. or Canadian school. Six scholarships are awarded each year in the amount of $5,000 (Grand Prize) and $1,000 (Runner-Up – five awards). Applicants must be permitted to legally study in the U.S. or Canada. To study in the United States, applicants must have a valid visa that permits study in the country or be a U.S. permanent resident (i.e., Green Card holder). To study in Canada, applicants must a valid Canadian study permit. Applicants need not be MPOWER borrowers to apply for this scholarship.
