About: Offered by Positive Athlete Inc, the Male and Female Positive Athlete of the Year is a $2,500 $5,000 award to positive Athlete is a recognition program that celebrates high character, high school student-athletes and coaches who have overcome difficult circumstances, given back to their schools and communities in a significant way, or just have an infectious positive attitude that makes everyone around them a better person. To qualify, any high school student-athlete or coach, male or female, in grades 9-12 and in any sportteam or individualcan be nominated for Positive Athlete. All nominees are considered equally. Anyone 18 years or older can nominate a high school athlete, and nominators can submit as many nominations as they wish. This program is and will always remain 100% free for every high school student athlete in the United States. 14 awards are made.
