Leonard M. Perryman Communications Scholarship for Racial Ethnic Minority Students

Amount: $2,500. About: Offered by the United Methodist Church, the Leonard M. Perryman Communications Scholarship for Racial Ethnic Minority Students provides financial support for minority undergraduate students pursuing careers in religion journalism. Applicants must be enrolled at the junior or senior level in the journalism or communications department of an accredited college or university in the United States. Applicants are judged on their “Christian commitment and involvement in the life of the United Methodist Church,” academic accomplishments, journalistic experience and talents, goals for the future, and “potential professional ability as a religion journalist.”

Minimum GPA: No GPA requirement
