Amount: $10,000. About: Offered by Native Forward Scholars Fund, the Land Conservation and Indigenous Languages Scholarship is a $10,000 award to support Native American students pursuing postsecondary degrees in Indigenous languages, natural resources, land management and conservation, or cultural preservation. Applicants must be American Indian and Alaska Native undergraduate and graduate students enrolled full-time at an accredited institution and pursuing degrees with a focus in Indigenous languages, natural resources, land management, and conservation or cultural preservation; must hold a current GPA of 3.0 or higher; be students are required to maintain full-time enrollment at a U.S. accredited institution; individuals who can verify descendants of American Indian or Alaska Native lineage from tribes are also eligible; American Indians and Alaska Natives who are enrolled in U.S. federally recognized Tribes or state-recognized tribes; students who attend U.S. accredited institutions as defined by the U.S. department of education or the council for higher education; must be able to demonstrate Tribal affiliation through a tribal eligibility certificate (TEC).
