Amount: $225,000. About: Offered by Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio, the John L. Dales Standard Scholarship is a $225,000 award to support members and their dependents for study at accredited institutions of higher education. Applicants must be a SAG-AFTRA member or dependent of a member (under 27 years old); must be enrolled in an accredited institution of higher learning; Applicants under 22 applying for scholarship must have been a member in a good standing for five years and have a lifetime earnings of $40,000 within SAG-AFTRA jurisdiction; a member parent or guardian whose dependent is applying for the scholarship must have 10 years of vested pension credits or a lifetime $225,000 within the SAG-AFTRA jurisdiction. 4 awards are made annually.
