Jeptha Wade Schureman Scholarship Program

Amount: $7,500. About: Offered by Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, the Jeptha Wade Schureman Scholarship Program is a $7,500 award to provide scholarships to Southeast Michigan students. Applicants must be residents of Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Monroe, Lenawee, Washtenaw, Livingston or St. Clair counties at the time of high school graduation, though preference will be given to candidates who were residents of these counties during the four years they attend high school; high school seniors and currently enrolled college students may apply for scholarship consideration; applicants must demonstrate strong scholastic performance while in high school or college with an equivalent of a 3.0 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale); applicants must demonstrate leadership and character through extracurricular activities, service in school and community, volunteer involvement and paid work experience; candidates must be pursuing, or plan to pursue, a degree in the fields of law, nursing, medicine or dentistry.

Minimum GPA: No GPA requirement
