About: Offered by General Board of Higher Education and Ministry, the Excellence in Clergy Leadership Scholarship is a $2,500 $7,500 award to support students pursuing masters of divinity degrees. Applicant must be a UMC member pursuing or certified candidate for ministry (elder or deacon); must demonstrate merit, progress, and commitment in the candidacy process; must be a full-time MDIV student enrolled at one of the 13 united methodist seminaries/schools of theology; must show financial need and how this scholarship will help avoid additional student loans.
