eQuality Scholarship

Amount: $6,000. About: The eQuality Scholarship Collaborative offers scholarships awarded to California students who have demonstrated service to the LGBT+ community. Applicants of all sexual orientations and gender identities are eligible to apply. The program offers scholarships to two types of students: (i) graduating high school seniors and recent high school graduates; and (ii) community college transfer students. Applicants to the Scholarships for Graduating High School Seniors and Recent High School Graduates must be a resident of or attend a high school in northern or central California, have completed or expect to complete high school (or equivalent) between July 1, 2021 and June 30, 2026, and plan to attend or begin attending a U.S. accredited post-secondary institution (college, university, or vocational/trade school) for the first time in 2026. Applicants to the Scholarships for Community College Transfer Students must be a resident of or attend a community college in northern or central California but may study elsewhere, have graduated or expect to graduate from community college between July 1, 2021 and June 30, 2026, and plan to attend or begin attending a U.S. accredited 4-year college or university for the first time in 2026. The criteria for selection of scholarship recipients include service to the LGBT+ community, leadership, hardship or special circumstances, and academic achievement.
