Amount: $150,000. About: Offered by North Carolina Community Foundation, the Dr. Bob Townsend Scholarship is a $150,000 award to support Hoke County high school graduates pursuing degrees in medicine. Applicant must be a Hoke County resident who is a high school graduate and has been accepted into an accredited college or university and intends to pursue a degree in medicine; must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and demonstrate good character and leadership potential; applicant’s family earnings must be no more than $150,000 per year.
