Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers offers Charles LeGeyt Fortescue Scholarship, an annual competition, with a top prize of $24,000, to recognize of his valuable contributions to the field of electrical engineering. Applicants must be a resident of the United States of America, have majored in the field of electrical engineering, and have received a bachelor’s degree from an engineering college of recognized standing; must be full-time, first-year graduate student pursuing a Master’s degree program (or a doctoral degree program if it is the first graduate degree for the student); in the event the college is conducting a combined B.S. and M.S. degree program, the student in the penultimate year would be eligible; must pursue full-time graduate work in electrical engineering; one year of full-time graduate work in electrical engineering at an engineering school of recognized standing located in the US.
