About: The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) — known best for its Emmy Awards — annually awards, through its Foundation, the Jim McKay Memorial Scholarship to a student pursuing a career in sports television. Amount: $5,000. About: Offered by the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), the Joel Polsky Academic Achievement Award annually recognizes a student’s outstanding interior design research or thesis project. Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students. Their projects must be related to wellness and design, and their research or thesis papers should touch on topics
Amount: $1,500. About: Offered by the New York State Section of AWWA (NYSAWWA), the John A. Biros Scholarship is a $1,500 award created to honor his active involvement as an AWWA member and his dedication to the water industry. Applicants must be a primary member of NYSAWWA or immediate family of a primary NYSAWWA member;
Amount: $5,000-$15,000. About: Offered by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), the Jeffrey L. Esser Career Development Scholarship is meant to advance the public finance careers of those employed for at least three years by one or more state or local governments. Applicants must be U.S. or Canadian citizens or permanent residents, be part-time students
Amount: Up to $25,000 (renewable). About: The Jesse Jackson Fellows – Toyota Scholarship is annually awarded to rising undergraduate sophomores studying business or engineering. Applicants must be sophomores as of August 1, have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA, be a business or engineering major, have demonstrated participation in community service, and show financial need. Eligible
