Amount: $2,000-$6,000+. About: The American Welding Society (AWS) annually offers more than 60 national scholarships to students studying welding. Each scholarship has its own criteria, but all applicants must be pursuing a bachelor’s or associate degree in welding or a related discipline from a U.S. institution. Applications open on December 1, annually. Eligible Grade Levels:
Amount: $5,000. About: Each year, the Austin Alliance for Women in Media awards scholarships to undergraduate students in Austin or surrounding areas. Applicants must be currently enrolled, full-time students pursuing majors related to media. Additionally, each applicant must have completed 60 or more hours of college course work and have an overall GPA of at
Amount: Up to $10,000. About: Each year, the Austin Community Foundation offers hundreds of scholarships to local students. The scholarships all have varying criteria and award eligibility, but they can all be applied to through the same application. Those interested fill out one application and are considered for all of the scholarships. Eligible Grade Levels:
Amount: $1,000-$2,500+. About: The American Welding Society (AWS) annually offers scholarships to students living or going to school in one of its 22 districts. Applicants must enroll in a welding-related educational or training program, be high school graduates or possess a GED equivalent, and reside in and attend school within the boundaries of an AWS
Amount: Up to $12,000. About: Administered by the College Foundation of North Carolina (CFNC), Aubrey Lee Brooks Scholarships are available to graduating high school seniors in 14 counties of North Carolina. Applicants must be residents of Alamance, Bertie, Caswell, Durham, Forsyth, Granville, Guilford, Orange, Person, Rockingham, Stokes, Surry, Swain or Warren county, plan to enroll
Amount: $5,000-$10,000. About: The Association of State Dam Safety Officials (ASDSO) annually awards scholarships to college seniors interested in hydraulics, hydrology or geotechnical disciplines, or in another discipline related to the design, construction, and operation of dams. Applicants must be current seniors enrolled full-time in an accredited civil engineering program (or a closely related subject),
