Amount: $10,000. About: Offered by Dark & Lovely, the Building Beautiful Futures Scholarship is one of many awards available to Black female students and female students of color through NAACP’s Inspire Initiatives. Each year, $10,000 is awarded to two outstanding students. The award is renewable for four years, provided that a GPA of 2.7 or higher is maintained. Applicants must be a member of the NAACP; be a Black female or female of color; be currently enrolled full-time or accepted to an accredited college or university in the United States; be a graduating high school senior or current undergraduate student’ possess a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 system; demonstrate interest in pursuing careers in communications, marketing, finance, business, or science; and be a U.S. resident or citizen.
