Student Excellence in Archaeology Scholarship (SEAS)

Amount: Up to $3,000. About: Offered by the Society for American Archaeology, the Student Excellence in Archaeology Scholarship (SEAS) — formerly known as the Historically Underrepresented Groups Scholarship — supports the recruitment and retention of minority students working towards degrees in archaeology by providing scholarships to help fund archaeological training and participation in research programs. There are scholarships for both undergraduate and graduate students. Applicants must be a member of a historically underrepresented group, be a resident of the United States or Canada, and attend an accredited university. Applications open in October each year.
Eligible Grade Levels: College Freshman, College Sophomore, College Junior, College Senior, Graduate Student
Eligible Majors: Archaeology
Residency Requirement: No residency requirement
Minimum GPA: No GPA requirement
