Amount: $500-$1,000. About: Each year, the Georgia Mining Foundation provides scholarships to graduating high school seniors in Georgia entering the state’s colleges, technical colleges, and universities. For the GMF Scholarship, applicants must have been accepted to or plan to attend an accredited college or university in Georgia, have earned a 960 or higher on the new SAT or an 18 on the ACT, have an overall average of 85% or higher, and have completed all required high school courses. For the GMF Technical College Scholarship, applicants must have been accepted to or plan to attend a technical college in Georgia and have an overall average of 85% or higher.
