Amount: $5,000. About: Offered by Gilroy Foundation, the Dr. Joseph Kraut Jr. Memorial Scholarship is a $5,000 award to support local students pursuing medical degrees, especially in primary care. Applicant must have been born, raised or graduated from a high school in either South Santa Clara County, specifically Gilroy, San Martin or Morgan Hill, or San Benito County, CA; must be a college senior accepted into a medical school or a full-time student currently enrolled in an accredited medical school; must demonstrate personal motivation in both character and academic achievement. 2 awards are made annually.
