About: Offered by General Board of Higher Education and Ministry, the Women of Color Scholars is a $3,000 $10,000 award to offer financial aid to United Methodist students pursuing graduate degrees. Applicant must be a female UMC member born of at least one African, Black, Hispanic, Asian or Native American parent; must be pursuing a Ph.D. or Th.D. within the field of religious studies and aspire to serve on the faculty or in an executive administrative position at a UM-related theological school; must have a minimum of three years of membership in the UMC and a minimum 3.0 GPA.
