Optical Design and Engineering Scholarship

Amount: $5,000. About: Offered by SPIE, the Optical Design and Engineering Scholarship is a $5,000 award to provide full-time undergraduate or graduate student in the field of optical design and engineering. Applicants must be a student member of SPIE; membership must be in good standing throughout the review process (15 February-30 June); should their membership expire during the review process, their application will be removed from further consideration; high school, pre-university, or secondary-school students will receive a one-year complimentary student membership; must be enrolled in a program related to the field of optics and photonics; must be in school for the full academic year of the specified scholarship year; who have received a terminal degree (MD, JD, PhD) are not eligible.

Eligible Majors: Computer Science
Residency Requirement: No residency requirement
Minimum GPA: No GPA requirement
