About: Offered by SAE International, the SAE Phil and Jean Myers Award and Scholarship for Student Achievement and Technical Proficiency is a $10,000 award to support students pursuing engineering careers who have demonstrated leadership in an activity that has benefited others and have demonstrated technical proficiency through experience in STEM activities (such as an internship, volunteering for a leadership role in a STEM program or recognition for technical achievements). To qualify, u.S. Resident Available to sophomores, juniors, seniors, and graduate students. Demonstrated financial need – Expected Family Contribution (EFC#) $10,000 or less. Minimum unweighted 3.0 GPA. Pursue an engineering degree through an ABET accredited program . Provide two (2) Letters of Recommendation – one (1) that focuses on academics and one (1) that speaks to involvement in volunteer activities or technical achievements that go above and beyond those required by school.
