Amount: $5,000. About: Offered by Silicon Valley Community Foundation, the K.C. Kinch Scholarship is a $5,000 award to provide financial assistance to cover college educational expenses of students from East Palo Alto, CA. Applicants must be current graduating senior residing in East Palo Alto or high school graduate who resided in East Palo Alto during high school; must planning to enroll or currently enrolled in a two- or four-year college or university, or technical school, as a full-time student; must have cumulative grade point average of 3.0 – 3.75 on a 4.0 scale; must demonstrated financial hardship; demonstrated community involvement over a period of several years; must be East Palo Alto residents who show academic success and demonstrated financial hardship.
