Amount: $1,000 $3,000. About: Offered by the Vermont Student Assistance Corporation, the Emily Lester Vermont Opportunity Scholarship provides $1,000 to $3,000 to students pursuing postsecondary education who are, or have been, in the custody of the Vermont Department for Children and Families (DCF). Applicants must currently be in DCF custody, or be between 18 and 24 and have spent at least six months in DCF custody as a teenager.

Residency Requirement: Vermont
Minimum GPA: No GPA requirement
