Amount: $5,000. About: Offered by Native Forward Scholars Fund, the NextEra Energy Foundation Scholarship is a $5,000 award to assist Native American students pursuing postsecondary degrees with a focus in environment, energy, cultural sustainability, or a major in a STEM or STEM-related discipline. Applicants must be American Indian and Alaska Native undergraduate and graduate students enrolled full-time at an accredited institution and pursuing degrees with a focus in environment, energy, cultural sustainability, or a major in a STEM or STEM-related discipline; Native American students pursuing degrees that prepare them for the renewable energy workforce are encouraged to apply; must hold a current GPA of 3.0 or higher; applicants must be students are required to maintain full-time enrollment at a U.S. accredited institution. 16 awards are made annually.
