Amount: $5,000 $20,000. About: Offered by Gilroy Foundation, the Uvas Creek Scholarship is a $5,000 $20,000 award to support local graduating seniors who plan to pursue postsecondary education. Applicant must be a graduating senior from Christopher High School, Gilroy High School, Gilroy Early College Academy, or Mt. Madonna Continuation High School; must be planning to attend a public two- or four-year college or university or vocational/technical school on a full-time basis; must have a positive attitude towards education and a minimum 3.0 GPA; must demonstrate financial need. 15 awards are made annually.
