Amount: $5,000. About: Offered by Marines’ Memorial Association & Foundation, the Ruark-Wight Family Scholarship is a $5,000 award to support veterans, or the spouses and children of veterans, as they pursue undergraduate and graduate degrees. Applicants must have served honorably, or be currently serving, in any branch of the US Armed Forces OR be the spouse or child of someone who served honorably, or is currently serving, in any branch of the US Armed Forces; must be a full-time student attending an accredited non-profit undergraduate or graduate program in the U.S; must be a college sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student previous academic year school year; must have a college GPA of 2.5 or higher; Marines’ Memorial membership is not required.
