Amount: $3,000. About: Offered by The Homer Foundation, the Alain and Daniel Rieser Scholarship is a $3,000 award to support a local student interested in foreign languages and cultures. Applicant must be a graduating senior from Homer High School in Alaska; must plan to attend a college or university and continue to study a foreign language or undertake a language/cultural immersion experience in a foreign country; must have a flair for foreign language and a curiosity about other cultures.
