William G. Anderson, DO, Minority Scholarships

Amount: $10,000. About: Offered by American Osteopathic Foundation, the William G. Anderson, DO, Minority Scholarships is a $10,000 award to support and recognize outstanding minority osteopathic medical students who are committed to osteopathic principals and practice, has excelled academically, and has proven to be a leader in addressing the educational, societal, and health needs of minorities. Applicants must be a minority osteopathic medical student in good standing at a COCA-accredited college/school of osteopathic medicine (COM/SOM) who is a rising OMS II, III, or IV in the fall of the scholarship year; must have a strong interest in osteopathic medicine, including its philosophy, and principles; must have demonstrated leadership in addressing the educational, societal, and health needs of minorities or in addressing inequities in medical education and health care; must have accomplishments, awards and honors, special projects, and extracurricular activities that demonstrate the Applicants’ ability to be a leader; and must have financial need affecting completion of education.

Minimum GPA: No GPA requirement
