CFP Board Opens Fall 2026 Scholarship Programs

CFP Board Center for Financial Planning has opened its fall 2026 scholarship programs for applications.

The scholarships are aimed at supporting students pursuing the educational coursework required to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional.

The Center will award 49 scholarships, ranging from $2,000 to $11,250 depending on the scholarship program. In total, the Center will award over $315,000 this fall.

The scholarships are open to students enrolling in an undergraduate-, graduate- or certificate-level CFP Board Registered Program. A list of CFP Board Registered Programs is available here.

The eligibility requirements for the 10 scholarship programs vary, but they are all intended to assist individuals on the pathway to completing the education requirements for CFP® certification by lowering the financial barriers of entry.

With these scholarship programs, the Center continues its mission to build the profession’s talent pipeline by financially supporting students aspiring to become a CFP® professional. Since 2016 when it launched the scholarship program, the Center has awarded over $3.4 million to over 1,000 awardees to date, a feat made possible through donations from generous sponsors and donors.

Qualified students may apply to any of the 10 scholarship programs here.

Applications are due by Sept. 30, 2026.
