Where, When and How to Get Free Stuff All Year Round

Yes ladies and gentlemen, you heard correctly, free stuff! Mark your calendars because I am about to give you the run down on all the days you can get free stuff!

Marketing stunt or not, I’m not complaining because who doesn’t love free stuff?

➛ January

Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Third Monday of January): At National Parks and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, admission is free! 

➛ February

National bagel day AND National pizza day (February 9): Free bagels and pizza, it’s the best of both worlds! #wow

Valentine’s Day (February 14):  Many participating stores offer buy-one, get one-free type deals, so check out your local stores. For example, Shake Shack gave a free milkshake to your date if you bought one.

➛ March

IHOP National Pancake Day (Early March): Each customer can get a short stack of regular buttermilk pancakes for free. IHOP does this in the hopes that customers will make donations to charity upon arrival at each IHOP location.

Pi Day (March 14): Many bakeries and pizzerias offer various creative (& some nerdy) Pi Day freebies & deals!

Free Cone Day at Dairy Queen (Mid March): One free small vanilla cone per customer.

First Day of Spring (March 20): To celebrate the coming spring season, Rita’s gives out free Italian Ices all day long!

Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone Day (Mid April): They don’t skimp out on the servings here let me tell you that… take full advantage of this day if you have a Ben & Jerry’s near you!

Wawa Day (Mid April): Unfortunately I never discovered this heavenly placed called Wawa until college, but now that I know they give out free coffee on Wawa Day, I’m there!

Tax Day (April 17): Filing taxes can be stressful and annoying, but Tax Day is another day for freebies!

Earth Day (April 22): Companies like Target, Whole Foods, and Best Buy give out free samples of sustainable products + they offer other discounts!

National Parks Day (Late April): Free entrance to National Parks on this day! If we’re lucky, it will happen for an entire week (as it did this year)!

Free Cone Day at Carvel (Late April): Get a free ice cream cone between the hours of 3pm and 8pm.

National Pretzel Day (April 26): Get free pretzels at Auntie Anne’s, Wetzel’s Pretzels, Pretzelmaker, and other participating locations.

Super Hero Day (April 28): Krispy Kreme uses this day to honor the everyday heroes in our lives by giving out a free dozen donuts when you purchase a dozen.

Free Comic Book Day (First Saturday in May): Comic book shops give out free comic books on this day!

Free Cone Day at Haagen-Dazs (Early May): Pretty self explanatory – free ice cream yay 🙂

National Public Gardens Day (Friday Before Mother’s Day): Admission to public gardens is waived.

Mother’s Day (Second Sunday of May): Mothers are always treated to free food!

National Burger Day (May 28): Participating restaurants will offer deals or freebies – check your local stores.

Memorial Day (May 29): If you have a military ID, you and your family can get free food or free admission into parks, zoos, etc.

National Donut Day (First Friday in June): Free donuts from places like Krispy Kreme, Dunkin’ Donuts, and Entenmann’s.

Free Fishing Days (First Weekend of June): You can fish in public bodies of water without a permit or a fee (in some states).

National Iced Tea Day (June 10): Places like Starbucks and Wendy’s give out free Iced Teas. The perfect way to beat the summer heat!

Father’s Day (Second Sunday in June): Fathers get free food and free admission to aquariums, museums, etc.

National Flip Flop Day (Third Friday in June): Tropical Smoothie Café gives out free smoothies to anyone that comes in wearing flip flops. They also collect donations throughout the day to support Camp Sunshine.

➛ July 

7-Eleven Day (July 11): 7-Eleven gives out free Slurpee’s because it’s 7/11!

National Hot Dog Day (Third Wednesday in July): $1 or less deals on hot dogs!

National Ice Cream Day (Third Sunday in July): It doesn’t fall on a “Sundae” coincidentally… Participating ice cream stores will give out freebies and deals ;]

➛ August 

National Rootbeer Float Day (August 6): Each customer at A&W gets a free Rootbeer Float.

National Bowling Day (Second Saturday in August): Bowling Alley’s offer free items and discounts.

National Parks Birthday (August 25): This year we are celebrating National Park’s 100 year birthday so all fees are waived from August 25-28.

➛ September

National Cheeseburger Day (September 18): Literally giving away free cheeseburgers!

Talk Like A Pirate Day (September 19): Krispy Kreme’s and Long John Silver’s give out free food to anyone that talks like a pirate.

Museum Day Live (Late September): You can thank Smithsonian Magazine for sponsoring this day – free admission into participating museums!

National Public Land Day (Late September): Another day where admission into National Parks is free, wow!

National Coffee Day (September 29): Participating coffee shops will give out free coffee. Thank goodness this falls on a school day because I am going to need that free coffee desperately!

➛ October

Halloween (October 31): These deals are usually for the kids, but you never know! Free kids meals and candy, it can’t hurt to try to get some free food.

➛ November

Veterans Day (November 11): free food, haircuts, admissions into parks, etc. if you show your military ID.

➛ December

Free Shipping Day (December 18): There is no minimum purchase amount required on this day! As well as free shipping, online stores may offer other discounts too.

New Years Eve (December 31):

Many places offer free coffee +  free rides home to ensure that everyone gets home safely.
