Hello college students! Do you love writing? Do you find it easy to express your ideas through words? Then this super easy scholarship may just be perfect for you! Each month, you can write a short essay answering a prompt and win $1,000! Easy, right?

Eligibility

Must be a legal resident of the United States or the District of Columbia. Previous winners of the sweepstakes may not enter again.

Essays must answer the current drawing’s essay prompt. Only one entry per monthly contest allowed. Essay content must not be offensive or explicit. Must be organized in multiple-paragraphs and follow the standard rules of grammar.

How to Apply

Write an essay between 200-900 words answering a short prompt for a chance to win $1,000. Entries will be posted on the Varsity Tutors website and be voted on by visitors to the site. The top 5 eligible entries selected during Round 1 will then be judged by a panel of judges to award the scholarship.

Due Date

Entries must be received before the last day of the month for the current contest. A new contest with a different essay prompt will occur each month.
