NYC Summer Housing for Students and Interns

Some of the colleges in the heart of New York City cannot guarantee housing for every admitted student, which causes tremendous stress to students and their families. If you are in this position, know someone looking for some sort of off-campus living, or need somewhere to stay over the summer while interning in NYC, keep reading!

Listed below are all dorm-style housing created for students and interns in New York City. Each location offers various room options and amenities like a fitness center and laundry room. The buildings are scattered all over NYC, which give students the option to choose one near their school or internship. The locations will suit students who go to school, or intern, in downtown Manhattan, all the way up to Harlem and everything in between.

St. George Towers

This location would be suitable for students who attend college near Brooklyn or work in that area. St. George Towers is just one stop to Manhattan. St. George Towers is made up of three towers. Each tower includes a communal kitchen, a study room, a screening room, a pool table, and membership to an Athletic Club.

55 John Street

This location is just blocks away from most of the Financial District internships. In this residence, your room will have large windows and a private bathroom. There is an activities lounge, 2 kitchens and a fitness center that you can enjoy. This is just a summer housing facility and is the perfect location for interns working downtown!

1760 Third Avenue

This location is just a short walk from Central Park, museums, restaurants and shops. The building includes communal lounges, kitchens, a game room as well as a screening room. It’s an amenity-packed building with a fitness center and laundry room.

    • Good for East Side internships
    • Museum visits
    • Uptown shopping

New Yorker

This location is just a short ride from everything you would ever need. Located right next to Penn Station and the 34th St. Subway Station, the New Yorker makes it incredibly easy to get around the city. The building has a recently renovated student lounge with a kitchen, study rooms, pool table, and TVs.

Marymount

This location is in the middle of everything. The Marymount Manhattan residence is for the summer only and is located in the Midtown East neighborhood. This building includes apartment style suites with two bedrooms, a kitchen and a private bathroom.
