Addiction and mental health disorders have significant impacts on the life of both those who suffer and their family and friends. Promises Treatment Centers has been dedicated to helping young people and adults receive high quality treatment for more than 25 years. Each year, the center offers a $10,000 scholarship to be shared between 3 winners. Read on for information on how to apply!

Eligibility

  • Must be a legal US resident.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be currently enrolled or have been accepted to enroll in a college or university in the US.

How to Apply

  • Fill out the online application form.
  • Write a 500-word essay answering the following prompt:
    • Explain why describing someone as “addicted” rather than “an addict” is important to society in combatting addiction.

Deadline: December 31

Prize: One first place winner will receive a $6,000 scholarship, a second place winner will receive a $3,000 scholarship, and a third place winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship.
