Do you care about crime prevention? If so, apply for this scholarship!

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited United States college or university or planning to attend one in the current academic year.

How to Apply:

  • Write a 500 word essay answering the following question:

Crime is all around us. Unfortunately, crime rates seem to increase from year to year, and we’re living in a society where we need to constantly look out for ourselves and our loved ones. There are many products and services on the market to help reduce crime, from house alarms to video cameras to high tech locks. There are also many neighborhood watch groups, after school programs, and community-based services whose intention is to keep people safe.

What are some other, or innovative, ways to prevent crime? How do they work and how feasible are they to implement? If you could create something new, what would it be?

  • Applicants should submit their essay to zeigerfirmscholarship@gmail.com. In addition, applicants must include the following information in the body of the email to which their essay is attached:
    • Their full name, address, and phone number
    • The name of the institution you are planning to attend or the one you are attending
    • Contact information for their parent(s) or legal guardian, if under the age of 18

Deadline: April 10

Amount: $1,000

The essays will be judged on the quality of the writing, originality, the thoughtfulness of the response, and your  demonstrated potential for success in a field of study related to law.
