Eligibility:

To be considered for a scholarship through the APSA Minority Fellowship Program, candidates must:

  • Be a member of one of the following racial/ethnic minority groups: African Americans, Asian Pacific Americans, Latinos/as, and Native Americans.
  • Demonstrate an interest in teaching and potential for research in political science.
  • Be a U.S. citizen at the time of application.

How to Apply: 

  • Fill out the online application form, which includes fields for your personal statement, resume, and list of recommenders.
  • Submit your official transcript via online, email, or mail from each undergraduate or graduate institution attended. Institutions may send transcripts directly to ASPA (postmarked by November 1.)
  • Submit three letters of recommendation via email or mail that can be mailed directly (postmarked by November 1) to ASPA from the recommender or emailed in by the recommender.
  • Submit your GRE score report via mail. The APSA ETS code is 3527. Please visit www.ets.org/gre for more information on the GRE exam.
  • Official transcripts and letters of recommendations should be emailed to diversityprograms@apsanet.org or mailed (postmarked by November 1) to:
