Ah, summer struggles.

Pants that don’t fit, broken air conditioners, flat soda, and more.

No worries – Youtube star AndreasChoice offers creative solutions to these annoying summer struggles! 1. Struggle: Your summer shorts don’t fit. 😭😭😭

Hack: Take a rubber band or a hair tie ➠ wrap it around the button and through the loop and back around the button ➠ pull your shirt over your shorts and no one will know!

2. Struggle: You forgot your bottle cap opener. 😱

Hack: Get an eyelash curler ➠ press it against the bottle cap for a good two seconds ➠ the cap will twist right off!

3. Struggle: Your compact makeup drops and breaks. 😫

Hack: Prevent this from happening: take a cotton pad ➠ create a padding between the lid of your compact and the actual powder itself.

4. Struggle: You want to wear a cute tank top but your bra straps are showing. 😒

Hack: Get a paper clip ➠ literally paper clip the two straps together in the middle to create a “X” shape ➠ voila, no straps showing!

5. Struggle: Broken air conditioner!!! 😲😤😑

Hack: Get a tupperware container ➠ fill it with ice ➠ get a fan and put the ice in front of it ➠ air will be so much cooler!

6. Struggle: You have water stuck in your ears.

Hack: Take a balloon and inflate it ➠ your ear will pop and all the water will come out!

7. Struggle: Necklaces get tangled up inside your bag. 😑

Hack: Get a wrap ➠ seal your necklace in layers ➠ you can test this trick by throwing it around – nothing will tangle :]

8. Struggle: You’re going to a pot luck and you have no idea what to bring.

Hack: Make orange jello shots: cut the orange in half ➠ scoop the inside out ➠ fill the inside with jello and liquor of your choice ➠ freeze them ➠ cut the frozen jello-filled oranges into little pieces. Well, that was easy!

9. Struggle: Soda gets warm and flat 😟

Hack: Pour the flat soda into ice tray ➠ freeze it ➠ pop ’em into a new glass cup of soda ➠ enjoy your drink (cold & not watered down!) with your soda cubes.

10. Struggle: Your muscles are tensed up and you can’t afford a professional massage (and don’t have a foam roller).

Hack: Tennis balls!!! Put the tennis ball on your bed or the floor ➠ roll around on it wherever you have knots!

My two cents: make sure to actually roll the ball around instead of just pressing it against your back (and don’t put too much pressure on just one spot!). Also, tennis balls are great substitutes for when you don’t have time to work out —  whether you’re in class, at work, or at the comfort of your own home watching TV, you can help your body circulate blood by taking two tennis balls and placing them right under your gluteus maximus (remember from your high school gym class?). And as a result of improved blood circulation, the excess fat on your thighs will be shed too. Killin’ two birds with one stone 👏.
